Previously at Chichester Richard worked as Assistant Choreographer/Director on Crazy for You, and its West End transfer. He also worked as Assistant Choreographer on The Scottsboro Boys, Associate Choreographer on Young Frankenstein, Assistant Director on Riverdance (world tour) and as rehearsal director for Tavaziva Dance Company.

Richard was part of the creative team of the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony as Dance Captain, and was commissioned by the Mexican Government to help develop and manage a Cultural Dance production.
